The IFC2-3030 supports up to 3,180 intelligent, addressable devices and one to ten Signaling Line Circuits (SLC) with up to 159 detectors and 159 modules per loop. For the Ansaldo Honolulu JV project, STANLEY will design, fabricate and install the Platform Screen Gate (PSG) systems at each of the 21 passenger stations. The Platform Screen Gate provides an added level of passenger safety by providing a physical barrier between the passenger platform and moving trains. The key component of the PSG system is an Automated Screen Gate which opens only when the train reaches its stopping point, allowing passengers to safely enter and exit the train. In addition, the overall PSG system includes Emergency Egress doors, PSG control panels and interface to the overall system control network. Watts is also constructing the communications, fire alarm and UPS systems for the 21 rail stations and are responsible for the design and construction of the 3,500 SF Yard Control Bungalow, which will serve as the communication building.
